Shirley MacLaine's VO gives this fundraising film an extra emotional lift and brought her to tears while recording the poem "One Joy" that provides the piece its central theme. We found the poem, written by Abe Ticknor, a retired NYPD policeman and resident of the nursing home, while scouting for locations and a story line for the video. Geno Salvatori was director/cameraman, as well as editor, on this project. I produced this for Finelight.
